The journey of an individual's life is fluid. It can take you in divergent directions from one moment to the next. Each memory, feeling, and adventure all connect to represent our unique and individual stories. If we peel away each layer one by one, this reminds us of how at times we have broken out of our comfort zones into unfamiliar territory and terrain. At times, this can unsettle us, but it is part of our route, our path. This connection of digital collaged illustrations, explore breaking out of these spaces and forging new pathways. Lines that are broken and transparent represent the struggles we face along the way. Whilst the solid lines contour the confidence, reslience and bravery involved in beginning a new adventure. Bridging the gap between new experiences and reflecting on the past helps us seek new opportunities. As an artist I wanted to break free from some of the boundaries that restric me in my creative process. These illustrations are created using hand drawn maps, textures and digital collage art methods.
